Kosher turkey bacon has arrived

Kosher turkey bacon is here in a big way. Not only does it go with so many foods, it is the play-dough of the food world. Thanks to its soft texture and long thin strip shape, it is perfect for wrapping around other foods to create new and interesting dishes.

Turkey bacon is easy to prepare, it can be baked in the oven on parchment paper, cooked in the microwave on paper towels, fried in a pan or barbecued when wrapped around meat or vegetables. Turkey bacon can get quite stiff if cooked too long, so for most dishes, try to cook the bacon strips just shy of stiffness.

My preferred technique for preparing turkey bacon is to bake it in the oven on parchment-covered baking sheets at 400 for 15 minutes. The turkey bacon cooks evenly, there is little smell and it is very easy to clean up. So get with it and find out what turkey bacon has to offer.
