Pride Parade
Thursday, 02 July 2009

More than 100 people, gay and straight, organized by Kulanu, a Jewish LGBT social group affiliated with Hillel of Greater Toronto, marched in Pride Toronto’s parade on Sunday. Tens of thousands of people gathered on Yonge Street to watch the parade, and watchers cheered loudly as the pro-Israel marchers passed. Marchers included Canadian Jewish Congress CEO Bernie Farber; Len Ruder, CJC’s regional director,  and Phil Berger, chief of the department of family and community medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital.
