TORONTO — The Anne and Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto Kimel Centre boys baseball team completed an undefeated post-season by defeating Alexander Mackenzie High School 14-7 to win the York Region Athletic Association (YRAA) championship.

The Cougars jumped out to an early lead with four runs in the first inning and three more in the second. Jordan Rostowsky, David Garbuz and Justin Heller had key RBIs.
Alexander Mackenzie closed the gap and tied the game in the fourth inning. The game remained tied at 7-7 heading into the eighth inning when the Cougars exploded for seven runs, finished off by an Eli Sherman double.
Zach Danilewitz pitched four strong innings and picked up the win in relief. He struck out the final batter to clinch the championship for the team.
