U.S.: A 25-year-old Orthodox man was stabbed in Brooklyn (he’s currently in stable condition), following his New Hampshire win, donors have been tripping over each other to contribute to Bernie Sanders’ campaign (over $5.2 million US has already been raised), Jewish groups are pressuring Ted Cruz to explain his position on controversial backer Mike Bickle (who wants to convert Jews to Christianity), and the Orthodox Union is asking the Democratic Party in Nevada to accommodate Jews who won’t be able to caucus because the primary is on the Sabbath.

A serial killer who murdered three shopkeepers (two of them Jewish) in Brooklyn has been convicted of three counts of second-degree murder, a university in Ohio is the first outside the Holy Land to implement an Israeli startup’s water testing system, and for the first time in over a decade, Israel is set to import beef from the United States.

Israel: Israel Police appoints its first Arab Muslim deputy commissioner, two fourteen-year-old Arab girls have been charged with attempted murder after stabbing a security guard, an Israeli-Arab dentist has been charged for funnelling money to Hamas, Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the situation is currently not ripe for a two-state solution, an Israeli settler has been arrested for attacking a Palestinian man’s truck with an ax, a new book called BDS for Idiots openly mocks boycott Israel activists (the author describes it as a “seriously funny humiliation of BDS activists”), and an Israeli paramedic rushed to save the life of a dog who was hit by a car.

World: A teacher in Saudi Arabia killed six education department employees (he’s since been arrested), two female suicide bombers killed 58 (and injured 78) in a northeast Nigerian camp for people fleeing terrorist group Boko Haram, former Auschwitz guard Reinhold Hanning, 94, arrived in court today to be tried as an accessory to the murder of 170,000 people, Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer and French envoy to the U.S. Gérard Araud engaged in Twitter war, Australia is carefully considering adopting an ISIS couple’s orphans, and a woman whose son experienced anti-Semitism on a London subway wonders why passengers did not intervene.

Business: A new Israeli innovation is a unique bandaid that aims to save lives in cases of severe bleeding, Israeli ride-sharing app, Gett, is building a coalition to counter Uber, the IDF has unveiled a new spy camera that can detect terrorists moving through fog, and a new report sheds light on the most active venture capital firms in the Startup Nation.

Culture: We all know that this year’s Oscar nominees will get quite the swag bag that includes a $55,000 (US) trip to Israel, but what exactly does that entail?
