Less than 24 hours after a Palestinian broke into a home in the settlement of Otniel and stabbed to death a mother of six in the presence of three of her children, a pregnant Israeli woman was stabbed in Tekoa, a West Bank settlement in Gush Etzion.

According to Magen David Adom (MDA), Michal Froman, an approximately 30-year-old mother-to-be, was stabbed at a clothing warehouse in the settlement, suffering moderate wounds to her upper body.

MDA was called to the scene and evacuated Froman for treatment at Shaare Medical Center in Jerusalem. Froman was fully conscious when she was taken to the hospital, according to MDA.

After attempting to flee the scene, the Palestinian attacker was shot by a resident of the settlement. According to the IDF, the teenage assailant is in serious condition, and is being treated at an Israeli hospital.

Froman is reportedly the daughter-in-law of the late Rabbi Menachem Froman, a peace activist and the former chief rabbi of Tekoa.
