One of the biggest names in soccer, Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo, has reportedly purchased an Israeli-made private jet, according to Lisbon-based media agency Correio da Manhã.

Ronaldo, a striker for Real Madrid, paid CAD$26 million (€19 million) for the jet, a Gulfstream G200 aircraft produced by Israel Aircrafts Industries.

Media reports state that the 30-year-old Ronaldo used his inaugural flight to visit London last week, for the premiere of a new documentary about him.

The Gulfstream G200 is a luxury aircraft that holds up to 10 passengers and 2 pilots. It features two bathrooms, a kitchen, and boasts a cruising speed of 850 kilometres per hour, with a range of 6,296 kilometres.

The G200 is actually an outdated model, superseded by the G280, which Israel Aircrafts Industries released in 2011.

According to ISRAEL21c, Ronaldo is currently the star of an Israeli television commercial for the cable television network, HOT.
