Police are looking for this man and his

Toronto police have released security camera pictures of a man with his dog who is wanted for allegedly smearing dog feces on the doors of Beth Joseph Lubavitch Chabad Synagogue.

As part of a mischief investigation, they’re appealing to the public to come forward with information in connection with the vandalism, which was discovered by one of the shul’s members on Aug. 31 when he arrived for morning prayers.

Police said the man approached the main doors of the synagogue, located at 44 Edinburgh Dr., at Bathurst Street, north of Wilson Avenue, with his dog, described as a “white, mixed-poodle type breed,” then rubbed dog feces on the door and left the area.

He’s described as white, average height and build. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark shirt with a black baseball cap.

Police told The CJN earlier this month they believe the person lives in the neighbourhood, but won’t be able to determine whether this was a hate-motivated crime until they make an arrest.
