Is Montreal attractive to Nazi sympathizers? B’nai Brith Canada is calling on the Canada Border Services Agency to block the entry of one Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, the alleged anti-Semitic comedian infamous for his quasi-Nazi salute, the Quenelle. Dieudonne, who’s been convicted several times of anti-Semitism, has sold out ten shows in Montreal. The city’s mayor, Denis Coderre, said that he’s not welcome in Montreal, days after he vowed that streets named after another alleged Nazi sympathizer, Alexis Carrel, would be changed following complaints from residents.

Polling old Israelis, and young Palestinians. A new poll shows that 51 per cent of Israeli respondents believe any of the current presidential candidates (John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump) would be better for Israel than Barack Obama, with most preferring Clinton to win the presidency. Meanwhile, another poll shows that most young Palestinians support knife attacks on Israeli citizens, saying it supports the ‘Palestinian cause’. In Gaza, 78 per cent of those polled support the attacks, while in the West Bank, the figure stands at 47 per cent.

I’m not an anti-Semite, but… The new leader of Britain’s National Union of Students penned an op-ed in the Guardian Sunday called “I’m the new NUS president – and no, I’m not an anti-Semitic Isis sympathizer,” referring to claims that she supports Palestinian terrorism and believes the media is run by “Zionists.” However, she doesn’t actually refute any of the past comments she’s made (for example that Palestinian violence against Israel does not constitute terrorism), nor has she changed her “political ideologies and beliefs.” Um….

The Jewish candidate that could (antagonize Israel repeatedly). 83 U.S. senators have signed a letter calling on President Barack Obama to 1) increase foreign aid to Israel and 2) sign an agreement on a new defence package from the U.S. to Israel. 83 senators. Four fifths of the U.S. Senate. One senator’s name is noticeably absent from the letter though: Senator Bernie Sanders (the same senator who’s running for President, and has gone on the record blaming Israel for using disproportionate force against Hamas during the 2014 Gaza war, and pretty much the entire Mideast conflict). And Israelis think this guy would be better for Israel than Obama? Fat chance.

The first Yiddish speakers were actually Turks. According to an Israeli-born researcher, Yiddish – the historic language of Ashkenazi Jews – did not originate in Europe, but in northern Turkey. Along with several other researchers, Dr. Eran Elhaik concluded that Iranian and Slavic Jews invented Yiddish in the 9th century, tracing the language to four ancient villages in northern Turkey whose names are strikingly similar to “Ashkenaz” — Askenaz, Eskenaz, Ashanaz, and Ashkuz. Mind blown.

$10 million to get Hitler to kneel before you. A sculpture of Adolf Hitler by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan is expected to fetch some $10 million (US) at a Christie’s auction house in New York. The 2001 sculpture, known as “Him,” was made with human hair, wax, and polyester resin.

Jazz, men. Israeli saxophonist and composer Eli Degibri will perform at the White House on April 30 as part of International Jazz Day, which will be attended by President Barack Obama and the First Lady. On the other end of the spectrum, iconic Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes has announced he’ll be performing in Israel this summer. For seasoned jazz enthusiasts, Mendes’ performance will be a real treat. For millenials currently furrowing their brows, you’ve actually heard Mendes before, believe it or not:

So Drake unveiled the artwork for his forthcoming new album, Views from Toronto the 6, and beside the hilarious memes, some questioned the authenticity of the photo, with rumors that it was a Stockphoto. Jewish Torontonian photographer Caitlin Cronenberg laid those rumors to rest, however, taking credit for the photo of Drake perched atop the iconic CN Tower. Wait, so does that mean he was actually sitting up there?
