O’Keeffe’s Jewish husband: If you live in Toronto, you may have heard that the works of Georgia O’Keeffe are currently on display at the Art Gallery of Ontario. What you may not have heard is that O’Keeffe’s husband and muse, Alfred Stieglitz, also an artist, was of German-Jewish origin.

Troubling bin Laden video: In a video released last weekend, one of Osama bin Laden’s sons urged Muslims and followers of al-Qaida to carry out attacks on Jewish targets around the world.

Historic shul ablaze: A fire on Sunday caused significant damage to Beth Hamedrash Hagadol, a historic synagogue on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
