Toronto’s Jewish community rallies for people of Israel

TORONTO  – Close to 2,000 Torontonians are expected to come together in a show of support for the people of Israel at a Community Solidarity Rally this Monday, Nov. 19.

The Rally for the People of Israel – featuring a keynote address by journalist David Frum – will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Toronto’s Beth Emeth Synagogue (100 Elder Street).

The Honorable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will be on hand to deliver remarks on behalf of the Government of Canada.

The rally, which will be broadcast live to two locations, is organized by UJA Federation of Greater Toronto in partnership with The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs. The event will feature first-hand reports from the confrontation zone, describing the current situation in Southern Israel and what tomorrow may hold.
