Rescind & Repeat: Helmut Oberlander, 93, accused of being involved in the mobile Nazi death squads in the Soviet Union during the Second World War , has been stripped of his Canadian citizenship. The previous three times his citizenship was taken away it was restored.

Israel

Can’t Get No Satisfaction: Despite Israel opting to remove the Temple Mount metal detectors, the Palestinian Authority’s President Mahmoud Abbas refused to re-start security co-operation, insisting that the replacement cameras “are worse.”

Old Dog, Old Tricks: The European Union’s top court, the Court of Justice (ECJ), has ruled that Hamas should remain on the bloc’s terrorism blacklist. The court reviewed whether to preserve Hamas’ status as a terrorist organization.

United States

(Not So) Warm Welcome: In accordance with a new Israeli law, five American religious leaders were barred from entering the country due to their support for the BDS movement. “It is the first time the Israeli government has implemented the policy,” the Guardian reports.
