An Australian sunglasses company that used the Jasenovac extermination camp in Croatia in a photo shoot has cancelled its new advertising campaign. Valley Eyewear director Michael Crawley also apologized to Peter Wertheim, head of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.

Israeli sprinter Diana Vaisman broke the country’s women’s record in the 100-metre sprint on Friday. She ran the race in 11.38 seconds at the Israel Athletic Championship in Tel Aviv and beat Esther Roth-Shahamorov’s 11.45 seconds record in the 1972 Munich Olympics.

On July 5, The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs led a delegation to meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, to discuss recent events that they found concerning – namely, Trudeau’s statement on the Israel-Gaza border clashes and Canada’s abstention from voting on a UN resolution about the violence, both of which failed to mention Hamas’ role in the conflict.
