Pope pledges to remember Jews killed in Holocaust

During his visit to Yad Vashem, Benedict XVI says Shoah victims ‘lost their lives, but they will never lose their names’; adding: the Church is working to ensure that hatred never reigns again. 

The German-born Benedict paid his respects to the six million Jewish victims of the Nazi genocide at Israel’s national Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem.
