The Toronto Blue Jays traded their Jewish centre fielder today. Kevin Pillar, 30, was traded to the San Francisco Giants for three players.

Pillar was drafted by the Jays in 2011 and played a total of 695 games for the team. He hit  .260, had 55 home runs and 231 runs batted in.

The popular player was traded for  right-handed reliever Derek Law, utility infielder Alen Hanson and right-handed pitching prospect Juan De Paula, in the latest of a series of moves that sees the Jays cleaning house, as they look to rebuild.
