Roseanne Barr’s revived series was cancelled on Tuesday after she compared Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to U.S. president Barack Obama, to an ape on Twitter. ABC released a statement that her tweet was inconsistent with their values.

An original letter written by Eleanor Roosevelt in 1957, in which she defends Israel during the Suez Crisis, is being auctioned off. The bidding will start at US$22,500 in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Canada and Israel have signed a “modernized” free trade agreement that will establish better access to each other’s markets and includes provisions for gender equality and environmental protection.
