From the Archives: Meet the Browns

Four generations of Browns: Ellis, William, Andrew and Jack, in Brantford, Ont., circa. 1971. Jack Irving Brown was born in Toronto on Jan. 4, 1926. His family moved to Brantford when he was a boy. After high school, Jack worked in his father’s retail store, which he eventually  bought and renamed it Brown’s of Brantford. In addition to running his business, Jack held leadership positions with the Beth David Congregation, Brant Liberal Association, and the Rotary Club of Brantford.
