Canadians re-elected Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals to a second term in the Oct. 21 federal election, but this time the party will face a minority Parliament. The Conservatives picked up 23 seats throughout the country and cemented their power base in Western Canada, but failed to make enough inroads in Central Canada to form government, despite winning the popular vote.

The Bloc Québécois proved a force to be reckoned with in Quebec, gaining 22 seats for a total of 32, making it the fourth-largest party in the 43rd Parliament. While the NDP lost 18 seats for a total of 24, it still has enough to hold the balance of power.

The Greens made inroads in Atlantic Canada, winning in Fredericton and maintaining two seats in British Columbia. Meanwhile, the People’s Party of Canada failed to materialize, with leader Maxime Bernier losing his own seat in Beauce.

Scroll down to find out who won and who lost in the country’s most heavily Jewish ridings.
