JNF To Fete Melnick

WINNIPEG — Manitoba Minister of Water Stewardship Christine Melnick is being honoured at this year’s Negev Gala to be held May 31 in Winnipeg, the Jewish National Fund of Canada’s Manitoba chapter said last week. Melnick was instrumental in creating the Manitoba-Israel Water Experts Symposium, a partnership between JNF and the province. Held in Manitoba in August 2008, it brought together water scientists to exchange information and established long-term relationships for water stewardship. A second symposium was held in Israel in January 2010.
