Kent Promoted

TORONTO — Thornhill MP Peter Kent was promoted to environment minister in a minor cabinet shuffle last week. Kent, a former news broadcaster who represents the riding with the highest proportion of Jewish voters in the country, had been serving as minister of state of foreign affairs (Americas). He was first elected in 2008, defeating Liberal Susan Kadis.
