Israel: A Palestinian teen has been indicted for the murder of Dafna Meir, a mother of six who was stabbed in her West Bank home, Samuel Willenberg, the last remaining survivor of the Treblinka camp revolt, has died in his Tel Aviv home at 93, new reports claim that Petach Tikvah has frequently refused to marry Ethiopian-Israeli couples, an Israeli professor has apologized after saying that judges “should be hanged” for allowing Palestinians to suffer, an openly gay rabbi has been arrested in Israel on suspicion of theft and fraud, a scientist who has been refusing to give his wife a ‘get’ (or divorce) has been fired from his position at Bar Ilan University, and an IDF soldier has come out as transgender. Liam Rubin, formerly Linoy, says he’s been accepted by his colleagues and commanders for who he is.

According to indictments filed last month, a Hamas terror cell was planning on assassinating Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, a new ten-year military aid package from Washington to Israel is currently being finalized, Israel intercepted a shipment of drones disguised as toys bound for Gaza, an Israeli television show is poking fun at foreign media bias toward Israel, and a video being widely shared on Facebook displays several of the Palestinian attacks against Israelis that have taken place over the last four months:

World: The U.S. and Russia have announced a planned ceasefire in Syria to take effect on Feb. 27 (ISIS is not involved), Austria has cancelled an event including Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein (who has likened the Israeli government to the Nazis), a Melbourne Jewish day school has publicly come out in favour of same-sex marriage, sponsors of a pro-peace initiative at Cambridge University have been rejected by their pro-Palestinian counterparts, and a month after passing BDS, the Spanish city of Aviles has backtracked on the boycott, calling it “discriminatory” (where were they a month ago?).

A Syrian refugee has launched a website that tells the stories of Israelis who help out refugees, Kenya’s president has arrived in Israel for the first time since 1994, there are two new books on Adolf Hitler, one called When Hitler Took Cocaine and Lenin Lost His Brain: History’s Unknown Chapters that argues he was a drug addict, another, Hitler’s Last Day: Minute by Minute, says he had a “tiny deformed penis” and only one testicle, and after hundreds of anti-Israel posters were plastered around London’s Tube by activists, an Israeli MK has stated that he spoke to mayor Boris Johnson, and the posters (see main photo above) have since been removed.

Though the EU has introduced guidelines to label certain Israeli products, this might not be what they had in mind:

Morgan Freeman is joining the ranks of Stephen Colbert, Kevin Hart, and other such actors with easily identifiable voices as the new voice for Israeli startup Waze. If you’re hoping that it’s a reprisal of his role from Bruce Almighty, don’t get too excited.
