Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin called the humour in Sacha Baron Cohen’s new TV series Who Is America “evil,” “exploitative” and “truly sick” after she said he fooled her for a segment of his upcoming Showtime series.

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement asked the Iroquois Nationals, a Native American team, to pull out of this week’s World Lacrosse Championships in Israel. The BDS movement attempted to spark sympathy among Iroquois people, since both the Iroquois Confederacy and the Palestinian people “struggle for self-determination” and “colonization.”

Before the Israeli Supreme Court froze the demolition of the Palestinian-Bedouin village Khan al-Ahmar, Canadian student Michaela Lavis was arrested along with other human rights activists who were conducting a “stand-in,” to try and stop the bulldozers last week. The Israeli Supreme Court authorized the demolition of Khan al-Ahmar in May, on the grounds that the homes were built without permits. The Supreme Court delayed the evacuation to consider numerous legal challenges.
