Barbecue Dad is your neighbour: BBQ Dad meets The generic “Barbecue Dad” of the photo in the now viral Craigslist ad, in which a group of 20- somethings from Spokane, Wash. posted a call for an experienced griller and stereotypical father figure to fill the role of a generic “BBQ Dad,” is not only Canadian, but a Torontonian (and seemingly a Jew?) named Doug Sherman who lives in the Bathurst and Sheppard area.
