StandWithUs vs. Sucharov: Student fellows of the organization StandWithUs wrote a piece that takes issue with CJN columnist Mira Sucharov’s recent column, which the students claim “mischaracterizes” their group, and hasbarah generally.

Does overbooking pass the (rabbinical) smell test?: Rabbi Jay Kelman asks, in his latest column, if the all-too-common airline practice of overbooking, – a topic most recently splashed all over the media since the recent United Airlines debacle –  would hold up in a court of Jewish law.

Better security for Jewish institutions: Jewish federations praised Congress’ proposed increase to federal funding that would help provide better security for Jewish institutions in the United States.

J Street U denied space: The Center for Jewish Life at Princeton University, which is affiliated with Hillel International, denied space to the local chapter of J Street U for an exhibition the group wanted to show created by the left-wing Israeli NGO Breaking the Silence. J Street U decided to go ahead with the exhibit regardless.

Jews who might get a Tony: A bunch of Jews have been nominated for Tony awards, including Bette Midler for the category Best Actress in a Musical.
