Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks will host a five-part series about morality that will air on the BBC starting next week. Morality in the 21st Century will look at “some of the most pressing moral issues of our time”.

Canadians Gustavo Rymberg, executive director of the Hamilton Jewish Federation, along with Dundas, Ont., residents Paul and Susan Roth, took part in the Kippah March in Berlin recently. The march, part of a conference of North American Jewish federation leaders, was partly a reaction to recent anti-Semitic incidents in Germany.

A few photos from Matthew Weiner’s long-awaited follow-up to Mad Men, The Romanoffs, have been released by Amazon. The eight episode show marks the first Amazon series to be rolled out on a weekly basis. The first two episodes will premiere on Friday, Oct. 12, with subsequent episodes following each week.

According to Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chabad-Lubavitch’s head emissary to the Russian Federation, Jewish life in Russia is flourishing and that “rebirth” can be attributed largely to President Vladimir Putin. “Hundreds of thousands of Jews are reconnecting to their roots. Communities have been re-established across the country.…For the first time in hundreds of years, they are proud of their Jewishness.”
